Christians in northern Cameroon have been facing attacks by Boko Haram for years. The increase in radical Islamic violence has had a major impact on the church in Cameroon. Many believers have fled and are trying to build new lives elsewhere in the country.
When I was asked to visit them in Cameroon, I knew that fierce stories awaited. Stories of sorrow, suffering, persecution...
Strangely enough, there was also hope to be found, hope to move on anyway. It seemed the deeper the fire, the more hope there was to stand firm!
This is why I started filming.
Undistorted stories that needed to be heard, because we can learn so much about who He is, even in the midst of the fire.
